Dynamic Marksmanship, Two Day Format

West Shore Sportsmens Association (home of the NTI)
near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

July 24-25, 2010 Saturday-Sunday, 9am-6pm both days

This is an intensive two-day course that covers all of the essential skills involved in fighting with a handgun. There is an all day session Saturday and Sunday, 9am-6pm.

Topics covered in this course will include:
Rapid presentation from concealed carry
Effective gunhandling techniques, designed to work under stress
Rapid reloading techniques
Movement skills, including effectively engaging targets on the move
Disability drills, including drawing and reloading with one hand
Precision shooting at mid-ranges
Effective scanning techniques for locating additional threats
Deployment from inside a vehicle
Proper defensive mindset
Proven personal tactics, and more.

You will need a good handgun, holster, belt, and magazine pouch, at least three magazines, a ball cap, concealment garment (vest, jacket, windbreaker, etc), eye/ear protection, and rain gear (we train rain or shine). A cooler with soft drinks and snacks is a very good idea. Expect to fire roughly 1,200 rounds of ammunition in the course of two full training days. Classroom instruction on tactical issues will take place in an air conditioned classroom with modern A/V equipment. This is a very nice range facility.

Advance registration is required. A deposit will hold your space in class, with the balance due no later than 15 days prior to class date. Students will receive a detailed equipment list and directions to the range prior to class. Call Lynn at 901-370-5600 to register. For more information, see www.rangemaster.com. Your primary instructor will be Tom Givens, assisted by other Rangemaster staff.

I took this class several years ago from Tom and Jim H. at Rangemaster and found it to be a very good all around course. Covered marksmanship and defensive use equally.

This was my very first class. After four years and numerous classes, I still think Dynamic Marksmanship is the best all around class for civilian CCW, covering all aspects including marksmanship, tactics and mindset.
Highly recommended.
