I am planning to replace the rear sight on my M&P .45. On my Glocks I switched front and rear to warren tacticals with tritium fronts and plain rears and have realized since I keep an X200/300 on them 100% of the time (same with the M&P), there's no huge benefit to the tritium front. So.....going to leave the stock front sight on. Any suggestions for a replacement rear that will match up fine to the factory front sight? I have considered warren tactical again, but was also considering the dawson sights that I just read about on here yesterday. Your input is welcome. I only want to change to some sort of ledge sight that will allow single hand manipulation if ever necessary. Not looking for anything more than that.

I have a 10-8 sight on my M&P 45 that I like a lot. I don't think you can go wrong with Warren, Dawson or 10-8.

I'd have to agree with that, anyone know if any/all of these rears will match up fine with my factory front? Do any of them require fitting? I tried to fit a YoBo rear to a Kimber I had once and it was a pain in the ass. After I F*^#ed that sight up beyond aesthetic acceptability I used a Heinie that went in with no problems.

I'm pretty sure all three were made to work with the factory front. I installed two 10-8's on my FS 40 and 9 that went in with no fitting, but I had to file the sight a bit to fit on my 45.

I replaced my .45 sight with a 10-8. Works great but it did require fitting.
