Maybe some of you have heard of this individual by now. Since winning a primary Tuesday, he is now slated to run against Republican Senator James DeMint. This while dealing with felony charges, having no job, no cell phone, no computer, etc...

He has been asked by several senior Democrat party members to step out of the race immediately, but he steadfastly refuses.

I hate Olberman as much as most here, but this is worth the view I assure you. Yet another complete and total debacle for the Dems to deal with.

Absolutely painful to watch. I've been following this for the past couple of days and it just doesn't get any less painful. I'm all for people rising up and taking on a roll in our Government, but for hells sake, take at least ONE public speaking class! For the first time in my life, I actually felt sorry for Olberman.

I don't think he's a Republican plant. Felony charges? Unemployed? He sounds heads and shoulders above some Democrats currently in office. Let's hope he doesn't withdraw from the race. :D

This guy is epic. His plan to raise funds just prior to this was to have military themed action figures made in his likeness. Now it's a rap video.

Have at it, Alvin.

His AF eval is classic. The only line that it is missing from the joke one is "has hit bottom and commenced digging"

Must be a conspiracy, it couldn't possibly be that Obama and the lib dems in Congress are so bad that SC grassroot dems would rather have some random guy (even a pornographer facing charges) than a career politician.

By the way, what is a "involuntary discharge" as mentioned in one of those links? Is that an honorable discharge that they give you when you haven't done anything wrong but just aren't good at your job or something?

If this guy wins, what a hoot that would be...

Greene is “usually capable of handling mundane tasks with supervision” but is “not able to adapt to any changes to daily routine,” the reviewer wrote, also noting that Greene had received multiple disciplinary actions for failing to perform his duties.

Greene was also written up for posting sensitive information on a military Internet server, a mistake that resulted in a three-day work stoppage. Records showed Greene was kept at Shaw while the rest of his unit deployed after leadership “recognized his inability to contribute to the wartime mission.”…

The reviewer also wrote Greene “required a daily to-do list” to perform basic duties and had a “consistent inability to follow instructions or maintain basic job knowledge.” Most seriously, the reviewer wrote that Greene would represent
“a threat to others” because of his inability to grasp the basics of military training.

In additional comments, the reviewer said she would not recommend Greene for promotion but did note his community service work and fundraising efforts for a holiday party. “While Alvin is a decent person, he lacks the basic skills necessary for promotion,” the summary said.

involuntary isn't a type of discharge, its a condition of a discharge. involuntarys are probably usually less than honorable, but can just as easily be totally honorable- medical, for instance.

as to the OP... my wife and i both chuckled our way through the video. i love the guy. i hope he wins.

Actually for him to win, he would be defeating Jim DeMint; one of the few R's that seems not to have his head up his ass.
