I would like to replace the extractor and whatever else parts I need to on my Express with the police parts. I looked at Brownells but couldn't find anything that said whether it was the police or express part. Can someone point me in the right direction to get the parts I need to upgrade my bolt?

I just did the same thing you are trying to accomplish. You won't find the extractor at Brownells (at least I couldn't) but you will find it at Midway USA.

Here's the extractor http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=138720

extractor plunger http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=154368

Extractor spring http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=162877

You can also replace the carrier dog spring (IIRC) but I didn't on mine (mine hasn't given me any problems or shown any issues) Midway carries many Remington factory parts and keeps them in stock.

There may be another part or two you may desire, but I can't think of it. Replacing the magazine spring and follower would not be a bad idea if you have not upgraded already. You won't have a true Police standard gun, but you can definitley help your Express out quite a bit with a few inexpensive parts...

Here are the 870 Police parts

From what I have read, the differences between the Police, Wingmaster, and Express are the attention to detail when being put together, and finishes (and obviously these above parts).

OK I just got around to actually looking at these links. I had been posting on my iphone but just now was going to order them.

These are for sure the "police" parts? It just said they were factory but didn't specify.

I can't read that I guess cause it's an archived post and I'm not a paying member?

I may be mistaken but I believe to actually get Remington LE parts you have to go to a Remington LE distributor.

I know you can purchase them directly from Remingon at The Remington Country Store...

I contacted Remington directly and they sold them too me but had to ship it to the PD. It was way more expensive then Midway too.
