Colt .22 conversion kit

I've been searching Google for 3 hours now and nothing noteworthy.
I want to get a 22 conversion kit for my AR and the local shop has a Colt one still in the package(it's on consignment) and I was just curious if any one has or had one and how do they compare to the other kits out there.

Have you found a place to get spare mags? That is what concerns me about the Colt unit. And I own one, but don't shoot it.

Black Dog is supposed to be working on a Colt .22 mag, according to a reliable friend that called the company. But they have not released any, to my knowledge.

I just went ahead and bought a TacSol dedicated upper last year, and called it good.

If you do find a source for reliable mags, I think you will have some friends.

Blackdog lists them on their site but says they are out of stock, it also says it's the same mag for the DPMS kits.
