Looks pretty cool...

I just shot my 1st ""Steel Plates" match this weekend...

Meet some really cool folks, had a great time...

Things I learned:

need lots of practice drawing, shooting and reloading.

need a different holster currently have a Blackhawk Serpa

need 5 mag holders for my belt...

I can't wait to do it again...

My range does a plate shoot (most) every Saturday morning. It's not timed or scored but it's a lot of fun. Open to the public, $5 a head and from 9-noon, ya can't beat it! It's great fun and occasionally there are some "duels" between shooters. I did that for almost six months before I joined the club. Since I was only able to get out to shoot on the weekends, why, as they say, buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Edited to add (ETA): I do it now to be competitive with myself to see how well I can do with a particular gun. Even though it's stationary shooting, I try to put two rounds on the poppers and then go up one side of the dueling tree and down the other, all with two or three mags with speed reloads.
