View Full Version : deciding on lower parts kit
The forum search isn't working so I can't find any info on the two kits I'm looking at. Is there a big difference between the Daniel Defense and Rock River single stage as far as trigger feel?
Between the two, go with Daniel Defense.
Rock river single stage triggers aren't great...they've got a very gritty feel. I have one, and it took a lot of work to get it to where I like it.
I haven't had a daniel defense one. But like stated above RRA are not that good. I installed one in my spike lower, and I was very disappointed. I had one from Rguns that had a better trigger pull, and it was cheaper.
Check out the G&R Tactical kit.
Here is a relevant thread on LPKs:

I have a RRA factory build that I'm going to eventually replace the LPK, and I've installed both DD and G&R. I'll buy more G&R LPKs. The G&R is the nicest "mil-spec" I've felt. Without changing geometry away from combat worthy or going to a NM/ Geissele, I don't think they can get much smoother. Here is what I would recommend:

I have built several stripped lowers up from parts over the years. Grant's (G&R Tactical) LPK's are without a doubt the best quality LPK's I have ever seen to date. He hand picks the best parts to go in each kit. The contact/engagement surfaces on the Milspec trigger that comes in his kits are the most consistent, clean and square I have seen.
Another reccomendation for G&R LPKs...used a few kits already, and they are excellent. The trigger is nice as well.
