Seems like a good deal to me. Not mine but I thought I would point it out for discussion, as it would make a nice lightweight rifle.

Here it is:

Colt SP1 20" rifle upper -- all original Colt. Late '60s. Excellent condition. Bore & chamber are mint. Marked "CMPC" on the barrel. Has "C" in square proof mark as well as the "VP" triangle proof mark on upper. This upper has the mil spec (small) pivot pin hole size (.250"), 1:12 twist (Ideal for 55g bullets), and bayonet lug. Slab side -- no forward assist, no brass deflector. Throat erosion is virtually zero. Measured with a Brownell's throat erosion gauge, the barrel shows virtually the same as a brand new barrel. This one has not been fired much at all.

Auction does NOT come with bolt/carrier assembly, charging handle, or handguards.

Not an SP1. It's an M16 upper.
