I am in Rio Rancho (just northwest of Albuquerque).

What kind of training were you thinking of?

I'm a Del Norte member as well.

I know several outfits have run CCW and sniper courses there.

I can present informal individual or small group pistol and carbine training (I have not incorporated or set up as a business yet).

I'm in ABQ and a member of both Del Norte G.C. and Zia Rifle and Pistol Club. I much prefer to shoot pistol and rifle at ZIA - they have a pretty good 3-Gun bunch, btw. Matches on the 4th Saturday on the East Range and 2nd Sunday in the pistol berms. Matches are not restricted to members, but you need to check with a member or the match director to be sure you can get through the gate.

During the week (at ZIA) you can almost always get a pistol bay all to yourself on one of the West Ranges. (No target frames or steel are provided by the club in the pistol bays.) The East range is for long range rifle, but if you want to shoot paper you need your own portable target stands.

The East Range at ZIA has berms at 50, 150 and 200 Yards,; plus 200, 300, 385 and 500 Meters with gongs (only) on all but the 50. In addition the Precision Rifle guys have a small berm pushed up at 700 Meters, but the club does not keep a gong at that distance.

One of the active 3-Gun members at ZIA was also a professional trainer, but he has recently moved out of the area.

I only shoot Sporting Clays at Del Norte, but I understand they have an active IDPA club.
