View Full Version : DD Barrels
I've been seeing this barrel show up on many sights for sale, at a pretty decent price.

Are these good barrels, for a work tool??? I know its not CHF, barrel of DD's but just needed an opinion.
It's a great barrel at a GREAT price! My DDM4 is one of the first batchs that were manufactured; they were with these barrels not the CHF ones. I love it, no problems, dead on accurate. For the money you won't beat it. In fact in finding out the barrel wasn't CHF I was talking to Larry Vickers and he said DD would replace/trade the barrel with a CHF one for free if I really wanted it (I was sold the rifle being told it was CHF); after speaking with him regarding the barrel I decided to just shoot with her instead of send it back and wait a few days for a new CHF one, and I trust Larry; he said the CHF barrel is great, but the one I had is as well. Plus, I figure I will just replace it when it goes south, and replace it with the CHF barrel instead, maybe I will buy a CHF and one of these and do some testing on accuracy and the like...
BUY IT! :D
Added info:
Really other comapnies are selling inferior barrels for much more; you can't go wrong with such a good deal on a great accurate barrel.
I have built several rifles using these barrels and I am still buying them. DD rifles has been considered top quality rifles even before the CHF craze. I have both types of the DD barrels. As for accuracy I can see no difference in the CHF vs non-CHF. Most recreational weekend shooting types will probably never shoot the life out of one of these barrels.
My latest rifle build uses this barrel and it performs as expected, shoots right around 2MOA with a non-magnified red dot.
