After 8 years … a very close call in which it stood admirably … the day has come to retire my carry pistol.

The CZ 75D PCR has performed admirably and been a trusted daiy companion.

The PCR, after many many rounds, countless practice drills and several fine range days (and the aforementioned 'close call') has earned its R&R.

In addition to its service, the PCR will be honored as a family heirloom. It is unique with a CZ P01 trigger, smithed trigger action, customized serrations, beaver-tail, trigger job, custom night sights (fading), Hakan grips and polished in all the right places.

Duties will be relieved to a Smith & Wesson M&P9, which has recently exited its reliability proofing period.

I would like to thank this stalwart companion.

That M&P looks horrid next to your beautiful CZ 75. Fortunately the ugliness of the M&P is compensated with damn good reliability and accuracy. Great guns you have there, sir.

What is this "close call" that you speak of?

Excellent thread title.

That CZ looks damn good too! Be sure to bring it to the range every so often.
