So I started this build a little bit after Christmas, I need a new hobby since I moved into an apartment and I don't have my garage full of toys anymore. Got my stripped lower from Gunsmoke Enterprises for $65 couldn't pass that up.
GSE Lower
Double Star trigger kit
BCM upper
BCM gunfighter mod 4
BCM gas tube kit
BCM Forward assist
BCM Dust cover
BCM Mil spec lower receiver extension and buffer kit.
Creakote coated bolt carrier from SDS
Magpul BUIS
Magpul ACS stock
Magpul BAD
YHM Diamond forearm with end cap
DD 1/7 Button rifled barrel
Troy Medieval flash suppresor

Haven't got a case or ammo for it so I haven't been to the range with it. That the next step, getting all the range paraphernalia and throwing some lead! Feedback welcome.

New grip will be an ergo RH specific. I do not care for the mil-spec grip.

Why did you put your rear sight so far forward?

Don't know exactly where the rear sight needs to be. I can get a good sight picture where they sit but if they can do better farther back please let me know.

BCG is from Superior Defense Solutions. Custom cerakote, one piece gas ring and upgraded extractor.

How do you like the flash suppresor?

Haven't fired the gun yet so aside from loving the look and the finish on the flash hider, I have no opinion. Once I get it to the range I'll let you know.

You're decreasing the sight radius of that rifle for no good reason. The rear sight works just fine in the very first slot on the upper rail, even better with an extended charging handle latch.

I look forward to hearing about the Troy Flash Supp. I really kicked around the idea of getting one. I just never found enough opinions to help make a decision. Went with the AAC Blackout instead but still want to know what you think about it.

Always fun building an AR as such, the only problem I can see with doing it this way is that I always change my mind on something like a stock or such mid build and wind up with lots of extras. Looks good though.
