Just a brief AAR on the use of a cinch tight dressing on some serious bleeding.

My Creds:
Former ALS provider, now LEO.

Injury:
9 separate 2-3" lacerations caused by a razor running from the wrist toward the elbow. 01:30 response time.

No treatment prior to arrival, immeatie application of cinch-tight to affected area per instructions, elevation and pressure on the brachial artery.

Result: Almost instantaneous control of bleeding, the wrapping of the bandage around the wrist possibly closed off any blood vessels to the point where clotting could occur.

Having never used this particular bandage (always 4x4 and Kerlix when ALS), I was highly impressed.

A good piece of kit.

I've had good luck with them as well. Good option.

Nicely done! The cinch tights are a good bandage. The "H" bandage is even better (i.e. less likely to come loose due to the hooks being replaced by a hitch system around the H). Like the cinch tight, they are also made by H&H. I keep six in my car at all times, as well as a few in my range bag kit.
