Looking to get rid of my Bobro Stubby Grip and MOE RVG. I have been shooting with the the thumb-break method for a long time, but ergonomically it doesn't work for my hands. Fingers are bunched up. I understand the AFG concept, but my hands are not that large and the angle and length from the handguard seems kinda far. Saw that LaRue has a hand stop and it LOOKS like I could get 2 fingers (ring and pinky) on to it while the remaining 3 are on the actual rifle. Before I throw down some more cash, can anybody provide any feedback on the LaRue hand stop? I know of the KAC and Gear Sector hand stops, but they look too nubby and just seem strictly like index points. Thanks!

.......same as with the LaRue, more of an index point. I bought the kit didn't really care for the handstop. I've tried the KAC, LaRue, AFG, and still for me the best is the thumb break with the KAC VFG. I did stick the LaRue on the side rail as a stop, but won't leave it there.

Who makes those rounded looking ladder covers? How do you like them?

Not mvician but those are made by LaRue.

Correct. LaRue "index clips"

My vision of a foregrip would be something like the AFG without too much of an angle and the length shortened. It just seems like the AFG takes up too much rail space and is made for larger hands. Now if Magpul or another MFG made and AFG-type, say 4-5 inches shorter with less of an angle, that might fit my need. Mvician, thanks for the pics and weighing in!

I don't know if there is anything on the market that will fit your needs.

What you could do, if your good at customizing things, is modifying a current AFG to fit what you want.

This is what I'm thinking. If you cut off the excess, the front and back should line up with XTM panels as well.

Then again, there are two screws on the other side that hold the AFG together. Cutting the AFG like this may cause problems from it splitting into two.

Just a thought of course.....

EDIT: You could also give the Danger Close handstop a try.....

I first saw it on Lightfighter.net.

The guy running the operation is M4Guru, which he is around this site as well.

I don't know the whole back story, I just look at the products when they are mentioned around the internet.
