Here is the text of an email I received. I have looked at both of the bills and what I get from it is that it gives unions the right to come in and organize those LEO's , Firefighters, EMTS....etc.....in those states municipalities and counties where they are not currently part of a bargaining unit AKA "UNION"

IMHO THis is bad news, just like most of the bills they are ramming down your throat currently. Cap N Trade, Healthcare, Internet Kill Switch, etcc..... Everybit of this crap takes away freedom and earnings from hardworking Americans, it also takes freedoms from the freeloaders, they're just too stupid to realize it.

Anyway check out the email which is a brief overview and if your are so led call your representative and let them know you expect them to oppose it.

I have talked to friends in unionized LE entities and they say it is crap.

I don't need some POS liberal organization to tell me as an individual, or my agency as a whole what to do.

The latest is that the house has already passed the bill by sticking it into a defense appropriation bill, which was demanded by the AFL-CIO etc...This was passed thursday night.

The sutf the law allows is currently prohibited in Virginia and North Carolina according to this article

I would appreciate hearinf from other LEOS's, EMT. Fire Fighters etc not on whether the "like" being part of a union but feel like the federal government should be passing a law that tramples on states rights or the state legislative process.

Harry Reid's bill to force states to impose public sector unionism on states and municipalities

H.R. 413 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-413
S. 3194 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-3194

Your action is needed IMMEDIATELY!

You see, in just a matter of days, you and I could reach the final U.S. Senate showdown on Big Labor's Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3194).

If passed, S. 3194 could force every police officer and firefighter in the country under union boss control, override state and local labor laws across the nation and lead to mammoth state and local tax hikes.

And your U.S. Senators -- - could determine the fate of this union boss power grab.

That's why it's vital you contact your Senator today and demand they vote against S. 3194 at every opportunity.

Congress is under enormous pressure from Big Labor to vote for the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill.

The union bosses are turning up the heat on our Congressmen to join Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to bring more crippling budgetary nightmares and dysfunction to states, cities, and small towns all over the country!

You and other citizens who are opposed to forced unionism can thwart the union bosses' scheme.

That's why it's vital you call your sentor TODAY.

You see, all you need to do is take a look at California and Illinois to see what the rest of the nation has in store should S. 3194 pass.

California is facing a budget deficit of over $19 billion thanks to out-of-control government union bosses and their outrageous demands.

Illinois is facing a $13 billion shortfall -- half the state's budget.

Dropping down a level, the city of Vallejo, California, actually went bankrupt after nearly 75 percent of its budget was spent on satisfying the demands of the union agreement covering police and firefighters.

And the Mayor of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, recently stated that struggling cities are "handcuffed" by public sector monopoly bargaining.

So please, call your senator IMMEDIATELY and demand that they vote against the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill on all votes.

There's not a moment to lose.

P.S. Big Labor's allies in the U.S. Senate are moving to ram through the Police and Firefighter Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3194) in just a matter of days.

Your U.S. Senators could be the key votes.
