While I agree that what he did was great, it kinda strikes me odd that people who normally could care less about the homeless all of the sudden want to help this guy out. I mean lets be honest if he wouldn't have done this they would have never even gave two shits about this man.

Neither would we probably, I for one don't really support panhandling, etc..

What he did showed a positive part of his character, so he is no longer just another homeless dude, and people take note.
