I found a Stag stripped lower for $135. Two questions:
Is the Stag a good lower to build on and,
Is $135 a good price?

Thank you

I like STAG lowers. They have a good finish on them and usually do not have much if any tool marks or forge flash on them. The ones I have had and still have work great with all of the uppers I have paired them with. My STAG Model2 carbine has one of the best upper to lower fits of any rifle I have owned. They work with P-Mags just fine.
Some guys are not a big fan of the deer on the side but that is a personal preference and has nothing to do with quality.
The $135 price is not horrible considering you can find other lowers from similar companies like RRA, DPMS, Bushmaster in that price range. If you look hard you can find them a bit cheaper. Not a horrible deal but you could find a Stag lower online for a bit less not counting shipping and or a transfere fee if your FFL holder charges one or not.

For that kind of cash... I'd go Daniel defense, for sure. Best lower out there, in my opinion. Love the flared magwell.
