Hey guys,

Whenever I get a new rifle, I create a "system" for it. That system usually consists of a Pelican or Hardigg (now owned by Pelican) hard case with foam cutouts for the firearm, several loaded magazines, and important accessories (such as tac-lights, 50-100 rounds of loose ammo in bricks, optics, etc). That way, if I ever needed a ready-to-go weapon system, I can grab the case and have everything ready to go. I also usually get a soft case for shooting at the range. I'd like to do the same for my pistol.

I'm looking for a setup for an H&K USP. I'm wanting both a hard case and a soft case. For the hard case, I've narrowed it down to either a Pelican 1400/1450 or a Hardigg iM2100/2200. I'm waiting on getting the hard case until I've chosen a soft case to go with it. The only things I've come across the Blackhawk! SOCOM Pistol Case (http://www.blackhawk.com/product/SOCOM-Pistol-Case,458,134.htm) and the Blackhawk! Gun Rug (http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Gun-Rug-Pistol-Pouches,136,88.htm). The SOCOM case seems to small (as in only holds two magazines) and the Gun Rug doesn't have enough versatility. I really like the SOCOM, but again, it just doesn't seem to be versatile enough. If I did go with it, I'd probably get a hard-case that would fit the SOCOM.

Are there any better soft cases that can serve the purpose? What about hard cases? Or a combo?

Thanks in advance...
