Anyone done it? In their catalog they invite people to visit, wondering if the tour is worth looking into. I visit Savannah on business regularly so I figure I might as well.

Opinions, experiences?

I love Savannah. If I was ever back there I would love to visit. All the interactions I have had with them have been great.

The factory is really nice. They are very nice also and will bend over backwards to help you. I stopped there to purchase a rail system.

Next time I'm in the area, this maybe on my to-do list. Sounds awesome!

Can you purchase rifles at the factory?

Did you see the hammer forging machine in operation?

I may have to take a trip there just to go to the factory.

It's on my list of places to go if in or around that area. Even the wife has agreed that she would enjoy it.

OK, I'm tentatively planning on going in two weeks.

If I make it, and IF it's allowed I'll take a bunch of pictures and post them up here on M4Carbine.net.

I picked up my rail at the factory. While I was there I asked for a tour, it was in between shifts so nothing was really going on. I didnt go on the production floor, just got to go on the second floor and overlook it through a window. It is alot smaller than I thought it would be.

If you are planning on going I suggest calling ahead and making an appointment, since you need to be escorted. It is in Black Creek now, which is about 30 mins west of Savannah on I-16.

Do you know if they'll sell complete rifles from the factory?

They do not have a storefront. The only reason I got my rail from them was because I had a black card to use. I do not see why you would buy directly from them for full MSRP, when you can get everything way cheaper from any dealer.

My wifes family lives near Black Creek....in Richmond Hill. We visit a couple of times a year and I will have to put this on my list of things to do.
