The commercial size Magpul CTR stock will fit your Bushmaster without replacing the receiver extension.

Agree.
Have some used/open box ones available if interested: https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=4522

I won't use anything but the LMT SOPMOD stock these days. There is nothing better IMHO.
Unfortunately you need a MILSPEC tube in conjunction with it. Would be nice if LMT made one for none MILSPEC tubes. But alas they do not:( .

Another vote for the Magpul CTR. :D
I recently became a CTR convert myself:

Most stable and solid collapsible stock I've used so far.
I really like my LMT SOPMOD, had to also purchase a mil tube, but that is ok because I will use my other stock on something else. My LMT is rock solid and I like the surface texture. I also like the Magpul CTR stocks.
1. LMT SOPMOD kit
2. Magpul CTR
3. Or...get both:)
Anybody try the Choate Sopmod lookalike yet?
Another vote for the CTR. Best investment I've made lately for my AR.

Just like everyone else here, I can't recommend the SOPMOD and CTR enough.

You guys must like those CTR stocks, myself I prefer the MagPul M98 stocks!
So I give that my vote...sad thing is they aren't made anymore, but I love mine!
My "frankenrifle" is currently sporting a Sig 556 tube with a RRA stock attached. (It was free, who am I to complain?)
If I were to purchase a Magpul of some sort my other half would probably de-nut me in my sleep. I like the products, but right now they are just cost prohibitive.

Clearly, there are a number of worthy contenders on the market; that said, once I had an opportunity to really get up close and personal with the LMT SOPMOD, as far as I was concerned, my search ended right there.
I'm not sure I would even consider anything other than the LMT now.
