What are the characteristics of a Mark 12??

Got bored and read Lone Survivor again & noticed the mentioning of this sniper rifle Marcus was using.

I've seen them mentioned here but have to admit i'm ignorant on the details. Sorry for the noobish question.


on a side note...it's pretty amzing he didn't lose the rifle on those spills down the mountain.

I'm sure those that are more familiar with the platform can help chime in, but this is what I found that seems to have some info. Not sure how old/outdated it might be since I don't have any personal experience with using it myself in this setup.
