I did a search but didnt come up with much...it seemed most of the previous posts about it were guys who just recently got them, couldnt find much about how they've held up long term.

Mostly curious about the 7.62 version. Anybody with one have anything good/bad to say? I'm thinking Im going to pick up a lower in the next few weeks and start the paperwork going on SBR and when that finally gets through order an upper, and the Diablo (not sure of 5.56 or 7.62 yet) is top of my list for the time being...

As for the lower, if I do decide to go with 7.62, will any standard AR lower work for that? Or do I need a lower specific towards 7.62...?

And anyone with the Diablo, which lowers do you have, and how are they working with the upper? Thanks!

A reg AR lower will work. That's all I got.

Thanks, thats good to know...doesnt limit my options then.

Although (and this might be real dumb, but I havent researched ARs out of 5.56 at all really until now) the magazines for the 7.62 round will still fit into the mag well of a 5.56 lower just fine? I feel like the magazine would be slightly different dimensions, since the physical size of the round is bigger...?

Yep! Check out PWS's website, they sell the mags. C-products makes them.

If you are talking about 7.62 X 39 (ak or sks round) then a standard ar 15 lower receiver will work but if you are talking about the 7.62 x 51 as used in the us m-14 or m40 or more commonly known in the civilian form .308 then you will need the ar10 lower receiver as the rounds are way too long for the ar 15 mag well.

Good luck whichever way you go. I am personally planning a long term build of an ar 10 sbr'd to 12 inches.

I don't believe PWS makes a 308 Diablo at this time.:)

Nope, the Diablo is only 5.56 or 7.62x39...the 7.62x39 is what Im interested in.

Great, thanks a ton guys! Any suggestions on good quality lowers at a good price? I dont want to skimp on it since after I go through the SBR process Ill have it probably for a long long time to come. I'll be home in 3 weeks and plan to pick one up ASAP so I can get the paperwork out to ATF.
