Had a squib in my Gen3 19. Haven't had a chance to called Glock yet, as they are closed. Definitely a squib round, ammo was WWB value packs from Wal-Mart. Barrel has a slight bulge. My buddy shooting it kept all his appendages. Frame and slide looks fine. Just need a new barrel, pretty sure Glock will take care of the situation when I give em a call tomorrow. But here are some pics:

Glad you and your buddy still have all appendages, that could have been ugly. Good luck and I hope Glock will help you out.

Not really a classic Glock KB.

I hate to say it but I'm afraid this ones on the ammo manufacturer. Not Glock. A squib, Q-balled out by the next round would have done that to any stock fighting pistol barrel and I can't see how that would be Glock's fault.

And yes...Glad you have all your digits intact.

I'm curious. Did the squib round cycled the action?

Glad to hear your were not hurt.

Oh yes definitely the ammo manufacturer's fault. Just calling Glock to see how they want to take it. Just bad luck. At least it didn't happen to any of my HK's, I might have a harder time with CS ;).

Squib did cycle the action. On the second round, the bulge in the barrel did not allow the case to extract. Yea, my buddy is fortunate to come out unharmed. We didn't really try to clear the gun till the end of the day as he just used my P30 for the rest of the day. It was locked up pretty good till I slammed it back into battery against a fence post, fired it a couple times to make sure there wasn't a live round and disassembled it. That's when we saw the barrel. It was a bad day, but not as bad as it could have been.

Wow, I'm glad your buddy is OK. That could have gotten ugly real fast.

Seen before. Ammo manufacturer's problem, not Glock. Please post Winchester's response(s) as you receive them.

Had a similar experience about 6 years ago with Wolf 9mm out of a Glock 19.

The pistol went to Glock where they replaced the barrel for $90 and then Wolf sent a check for it.

Pretty straight forward in my experience but don't expect a free barrel from Glock.

I ALMOST had that happen to me except it was with one of my own reloads. Luckily my careless reloading mistake didn't ruin my gun (or hand) as the bullet stuck partially down the barrel was still close enough to the chamber that the next round wasn't able to fit and the gun wouldn't go into battery.

I now pay a LOT more attention when reloading

Glad you're ok.

I once had an out of spec WWB 9mm round. But it just was too long to chamber.

Nothing Winchester does really fills me with confidence these days.

Exactly how it should happen. Which is what I will do if I can get a reach of Glock during open business hours. I called them about 20 min after they closed today.
