Rig for class or bug out

I am looking for a rig that holds AR15 mags and some pistol mags for classes I may take and to use to bug out if necessary. I am a civilian iin a medium size city (700000 poeple).

I think we're going to need alot more information than that. How many mags do you want to hold, do you want ballistic protection, are you looking for a belt, chest, or vest rig, hydration compatible, what kind of holster are you using with it, etc.?

Generally speaking though, most people these days are using some sort of chest-mounted magazine carriers. Try to stick with carriers or bases that are Molle compatible so that you can reconfigure them as you change the way you carry your gear. You will learn from your own mistakes and with Molle straps you can modify what you have instead of buying new gear.

This is what I use when I need more than one or two mags. On the right side of the pic is a double pistol mag pouch. I hardly ever use this setup anymore though and have gone to simple leather mag pouches attached to my regular leather carry belt.

I would like something hydration compatible able to carry 4 mags (AR). No ballistic protection. Either chest or vest. Would like to be able to conceal it some what. I am using a holster mounted on my waist.

You might want to look at the Tactical Tailor MAV (seen herehttp://www.tacticaltailor.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=16 ). Add 4 of the single mag pouches, the X harness, and hydro pouch and you'll have exactly what you are looking for.

While the MAV is a quality idea and option, another solution is the SO Tech Hellcat 1/2, It too can be set up with M4 and Pistol Mag pouches.:cool:

ncpar, that is a nice set up.

I think that the MAV v. Hellcat thing is like ford v. chevy. You can't go wrong with either one, it is personal preference.

I prefer the Hellcat as a base due to the integral magazine pouches.
