This is one of the most interesting products I have seen... The performance and potential are incredible.

The dressings are available in prepacked units, with NSNs from www.warriorwoundkit.com

I am involved with this product in other fields, I just wanted to get out the heads up on the Stock System Items

When you get right down to it, the gauze bandage has really not changed that much in the last hundred years or so. It has been made in various sizes, a self-adhesive strip was added, it comes in a sterile package, and recently it has been impregnated with blood clotting agents. But all-in-all, the advancement of the gauze dressing has fallen well short of keeping up with other medical advances. That is, until now.

The Warrior Wound Kit features the revolutionary bandage technology from Procellera(tm) Wound Care, this bandage uses Prosit(tm) Technology to make a “bio-electric bandage” - it is the first, totally self contained, conformable, cut-to-fit, electrically active wound dressing in the world. The Procellera bandage is a sterile, single layer dressing consisting of a proprietary blend of elements that are held in position on the polyester bandage. When the bandage is wet with an electrolyte, like saline, the bandage literally becomes a flexible battery. The amount of current generated by the bandage is specifically designed to mimic the body’s own natural bio-electrical current.

When the flesh is wounded or damaged, the body generates an electrical current around the edge of the wound; this current acts as a communication from the wound, to initiate healing. By generating its own electrical current, the Procellera bandage promotes the healing process across the entire wound. Patient reports indicate drastically reduced healing times and the healing of wounds or injuries that had failed to heal using other treatments.

Additionally, as one of the elements on the Procellera bandage is silver, the bandage has a powerful and natural antimicrobial quality. Silver is well known for its antimicrobial ability, and when combined with the electrical current of the Procellera dressing, there is a synergistic antimicrobial activity from the bandage. The Procellera bandage has been clinically proven to kill harmful microbes.

And finally, in case after case, patients who have been treated with the Procellera bandages, have reported a dramatic decrease in pain associated with their wounds. In some cases, what had been debilitating levels of pain were reported to be completely gone when using the Procellera dressings.

The simple gauze dressing has certainly been advanced by the Procellera bandage. Now there is a much improved alternative to field dressings; one that fights infection, mitigates pain and reduces the healing times of even the most difficult wounds. And now, thanks to Warrior Wound Kit, that technology is available in a simple, prepackaged kit ready for immediate use in the field. Now military and law enforcement professionals, emergency service providers or anyone that fills those boots on the ground has a simple way to stabilize a wound and advance the healing process with an incredible antimicrobial barrier that kills everything, including pain.

Clinical trials have been completed but I can't find the end data on the NIH website. Interested in the results on healing. Compared to Mepilex Border Lite; wish Aquacel had been included. Hopefully it's as good as the hype.
