I happen to have 220 rounds of it left from a case that was given to me - it is not factory seconds. How much is it worth and how available is it? Not sure if it is easily replaced or if there are good substitutes (shoots great in my Noveske SPR).

You could probably get a kidney or a testicle from some of the lunatics that must have that type of ammo.

Availability is ZERO for retail purchases. I bet you could get $2 per round on Gunbroker.com.

Mil packaged Mk262 is an unusual find, and is usually misappropriated from mil supplies. There is some out there, but those that have it aren't sharing or selling. Some collector, wanna-be, or gotta-have-it type will pay quite a bit for it.

It's not worth much.... Send it to me for proper disposal....:D

All joking aside, what you've got there is rare and expensive. Hang on to it, it's primo ammo.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I wasn't clear, I was wanting to know how accessible this is now that I am almost through my stash, didn't want to sell. The 75 grain match offerings shoot fairly well, but this stuff shoots great. Since I was one of those kids who ate all his Halloween candy in one sitting, I suppose I will just enjoy shooting it than worry about it lasting. Lots more fun that way. Here is another pic for your viewing pleasure:

I won a 500 rd case of it at the All Army Match in 05'. Just haven't had time to shoot it yet (450rds left). Black Hills makes a .223 pressure 77gr BTHP available to anyone.

I've shot lots from 03 to 09. The 08 lot was like a laser and got me a couple of cleans at Dam Neck. The 04 lot comes in a close 2nd. It can be duplicated and I have done so using TAC.

If you have friends that are on a SWAT team don't let them know that you have it because they will try to talk you out of it.

How much TAC did you use to MK262 velocities?

24.5 Grains is what I load now to dupe it. I have shot it at 23.5 and 24.0. This is out of a 20" 7 twist stainless steel Douglas.
