The detachable cantilevered sight base is manufactured from aircraft grade aluminum and completely bridges the M14 action back to the rear sight. It is adjustable for oversized or undersized rails with a positive cam locking mechanism. The rail surface is engaged by flat non-scuffing pads and the sight base is supported on both ends. The ability to position optics rearward toward the shooter using the Sage Detachable Cantilevered Sight Base enhances target acquisition
