It is in .308 with 1/10 twist, purchased some 165gr to start out with, but, still un decided on ammo, thinking of trying some 168gr, the ammo I'd purchased was right at $24 per 20rds.

May have to start reloading again.

All my other rifles are AR15s, thought I'd try something different.

Was at another board, members posted their shot groups from their Savage rifles, Im sure this one will do as good.

Started to get a Rem 700, glad I'd got this rifle instead.

Picture, doesnt do it justice.

Thanks again for the replies, gotta find some 168gr ammo.

I have a pre-Accu-trigger 20", 10FP in .308 and absolutely love it. Only things I want to add to it are a better trigger (mine is sweet, but not as sweet as I think it could be) and a new stock.

Savage rifles have a reputation of being low budget buys, with outstanding accuracy! My next hunting rifle will be a Savage!

I doubt I will own any other bolt action rifles (than Savage Arms) for quite some time!

Nice gun!!

I have had my Savage 110FP for more than 10 years (pre accu-trigger) and I cannot say enough good things about it. FWIW, mine likes the 168-grain HPBT as well as the 175-grain HPBT. I get sub-MOA accuracy with either (if I do my part, anyway).

Good luck!!

So far, Im very pleased with it, as well, have up graded to 8-40x56mm custom shop scope, 30mm tube, leupold 30mm scope rings.

Scope is most excellent, very clear, postive click, also side focus knob.

2 3" sun shades, scope built like a tank.:D

Considering redoing camo, like I did with my ARs, given the military look.

I would probably be looking at the bolt next year (all money allocation was already spent on AR :D ). What is the benefit of this over 700?
Thanks,

Thanks for you replied comment, I think I've got her just the way it needs to be.

Been working with ghillie suits this past year with one, just purchased two more.
Will be trying to build our own this coming winter, so far other than SASS shooting, this has become a hobby.
