It seems that surplus safariland 6004 holsters are starting to hit the market for some low prices. I'd like to get one, but I'm guessing these are for the M9 and I have a glock 17. Would the holster be close enough for my glock to work, or are they model specific? Thanks.

Darn. Well in any case, if someone here needs a cheap holster for their M9 here's a source.

They are very specific. There are so many gun and light combinations out there. I have goofed before ordering it can get a little confusing. I ordered the right holster for the right gun but it did not have the ability to take the gun with weapon light!

If by chance you did purchase a surplus holster for an M9, the leg shroud and belt attachment are all good. So you could always buy a new holster body from Safariland or order one from a dealer, the holster bodies have the same screw patterns and bolt right up. I had to do this when we switched to new duty weapons. Just a thought.

You can check here, (http://www.usaholsters.com/Desert-Warrior-Holster-Kit?category_id=0) too. I was looking for something that isn't quite a "drop-leg" but can be lower than a belt holster. Also, it is modular to fit on molle gear. Additionally I was looking for an in-the-waistband holster for my trips to AZ. ;) Comes with everything, and like others mentioned, if you need a holster for your attached light they have that option.
