From what I have heard American Tactical is kinda iffy. At that price you are better off going with an STI spartan or saving up a few hundred more and going with a springfield loaded or a smith and wesson.

Calling a weapon "Firepower Extreme" seems pretty cheesy. I would rather get a Springfield at that price as was already mentioned.

I have an STI RangeMaster and want a cheap 1911 to use as a range gun and to have another 1911 to mess with.

Then why don't you make it a pair of STIs and get the Spartan, since that's STI's economy model?

Nothing wrong with that. I'm all for having a beater. I just think it's cheesy marketing on the part of the company. If that is the route you do go, hope it works well for you.

I am thinking of getting a Springfield GI but was wondering if maybe this FX45 Thunderbolt was better. I know the GI will be a good beater and was hoping this FX45 was better. Thanks for everything guys. :)
