Remington 870 Police - San Quentin Issued

Have a very nice Remington 870 Wingmaster Police 12ga for sale. This particular shotgun is marked SQ Prison from the factory for the San Quentin prison in California. Remington reports this shotgun was made in 1972. While this is marked Wingmaster, it was what the Police models were distributed as at the time. Another interesting fact about this gun is that the barrel is serial numbered to the receiver. Except for some scratches on the receiver which are pictured below, this gun is beautiful. The bluing is very deep and NO RUST on this gun. The loading gate hardly has an wear so I think this gun was a spare and surplussed with the rest. All of the other SQ guns are absolutely beat to death. The stocks are walnut, in excellent shape with only minor markings. This shotgun is a piece of American law enforcement history and I just couldn't bring myself to "modernize" it with light, sights and a cerakote job. The pictures don't do this shotgun justice.
