The donor gun for this project was a brand new Colt XSE Government. I had Springfield Custom Shop do all the work. Some of the mods include:
Ed Brown Memory Groove Grip Safety
20lpr front strap checkering
S&A magwell w/ 20lpi checkering
Novak night sights
Fitted match bushing
lower and flare ejection port
extended ejector
4.5# trigger job
defensive carry package
FBI slide stop nub
Cocobolo FBI style grips
Complete Black T finish
I purchased the Colt XSE Government new about 7 months ago. I test fired 100 round to make sure the gun functioned correctly then sent it off for work the the Springfield Custom Shop. While at the shop a change in events meant when it got back the gun had to go. It was too late to cancel the work because they had already started on it. I got the gun back August 1st fired 50 rounds (had to try it out) then cleaned it. Springfield also test fired the gun before it left the custom shop.
The gun comes with all original Colt manuals, all OEM parts and Springfield Custom receipts. Also included are 2 Colt 8 round magazines with the first 100 rounds on them. 3 Tripp Research Gen2 8 round magazines with 50 rounds total are also included. These magazines were provided to Springfield to ensure perfect functioning. 1 50 found box of Federal HST 230gr hollow-points and 100 rounds 230gr WWB are included as well. Over $2500 invested
