Judging by the picture in this Marine Corps Times article, Marines who are deploying to Afghanistan may be issued BFG Ten Speed chest rigs starting next year. The article never actually states what rig will be issued, but I'm pretty sure that's a Ten Speed chest rig in the picture.

I'm sure the Ten Speed is an excellent chest rig, but I don't think it's capable of holding more than 6 magazines with no room for radios and other gizmos.

Which guy in the picture do you think is wearing one?

They changed the picture  It was this picture earlier this morning:

Like I said, this was the picture, but they never said if this chest rig got the contract.

I seriously doubt they'd issue a chest rig that can't carry 6-8 mags plus NODS and an IFAK.

NOT a BFG 10 Speed!

Its a newfangled Chest Rig that leaves a lot to be desired..
Marines Here at Camp Lejeune are coming in the shop asking us to beef it up and Mod it..
Since we don't "touch" CIF issued kit, we end up selling them the front panel of a Satch or Warlord and they leave happy..
We have had adapters for all of Our chest rigs to easily transfer between the MTV/SPC for quite some time now..

Here is a Pic of a Warlord on the MTV and attaches the same way to the SPC...
