View Full Version : Question about BCM BFH barrels
I recently purchased an upper receiver group from BravoCompanyUSA, 16-inch cold hammer forged mid-length chrome-lined barrel. It has the following markings on the barrel forward of the front sight base: HF HP MP 1/7 5.56 NATO. I interpret these to mean "Hammer-forged, High-Pressure Proof Tested, Magnetic Particle Inspected, 1/7 twist, 5.5 NATO chamber." What I don't see is "C" for "Chrome-lined." Doesn't BCM indicate this on their non-SS barrels?
Just checked mine, which most assuredly is chrome lined, and is identical to the specs you quoted... No "C" in evidence.
The only time you will see C is on colt barrels, the C is for Colt.

My stamped 12 o'clock barrel markings are the same as yours.

Years ago I had a BM 20" HBAR on an A2 build, and IIRC the barrel was marked BC, which I took to mean "Bushmaster Chrome." That's why I was confused. Thanks for replying.

All non stainless BCM barrels are chrome lined.

I know you probably have your answer already, but my BCM 16" BFH middy is marked the same as well.
