Okay Templar, since you're here I might as well ask:

What's the status of the SLR-108?

Last time I spoke with Vartan at Arsenal, he stated that we'll see the SLR-107A1 by the end of this year, and the SLR-108 early part of next.

Arsenal Bulgaria has not been able to support Arsenal Inc. as well as anyone would have liked, because they're main focus has been military and police contracts around the world. US civillian shooters are low man on the totem pole for the Bulgarians, although Arsenal Inc. is doing everything they can to get stuff out.

As long as it's still on the radar. I'll wait.

Thanks for the heads up Tim. I wonder if DeGoffs still has me on the wait list?

It seems a lot of people are wishing for a .223 do you think thats what it is?

Just yesterday I was thinking about how that SLR-108 would feel in my dirty mitts :D

Tim - In anticipation of these beauties hitting the streets in mid-September (my birthday btw) can you keep your eyes open for a real (meaning wood) Bulgarian stock set? K-var is out of stock but there has to be some sets floating around somewhere.

Thx

Are you looking for the Bulgarian blond wood for it or a more Soviet looking laminate?

The blond wood would have the lightening cut in the buttstock like an AK-74 stock, because, well, they would be AK-74 stocks.

There are some guys that have gotten their hands on Polish laminated stocks for the PMKM (Polish AKM), and Polish stuff is damn nice. It doesn't look quite Russian, the wood used is birch, and looks a lot like the same stuff the Germans used for their K98's in WWII.

Yeah I like that stock set and I really don't care if it came off a 74 or not. What about the Polish stuff, where do you get complete sets from? Should I spend my time messing with this stuff or should I replace the NATO length buttstock with a Warsaw one and shoot the living piss out of it?

Give Robert a shout, he should work with you to find another set.

I'm leaning towards a AK-74 or AKS-74. Maybe one of the Vector Built side-folders. That should tide me over till the SLR-108 arrives.

I found two SLR-105A1s for sale, $550 each. Maybe he'd cut us a deal if we bought both?
