Just wondering what your opinions are on Advanced Armaments muzzle breaks and the new Breakout... Both performance wise and personal preference. I have one of there cans(2000) and I guess I should be able to put it on my new Knights SR15 E3. Being that is such a light rifle I thought a comp my help some anyway.

The Blackout FH would be my first pick, then the Breakout.

16in barrel, and the tuned gas system of the SR15 makes the muzzle break a little unnecessary. Not to mention LOUD when firing without the can.

If you are considering the Brakeout vs. the AAC Brake (with dual chambers), I would recommend the Brakeout. It is not quite as loud as the brake when shooting unsuppressed and does not have quite as much muzzle flash. It will also provide some additional protection for your suppressor and is very good at controlling recoil & muzzle rise.

The brake will offer even more protection for your suppressor by effectively having two sacrificial baffles instead of the one offered by the brakeout, but it ill be louder and have more flash.

Ok Now the trick is actually getting a Brakeout they seem to be always out of stock. mtdawg169 would you consider the Blackout on the rifle in question or would your preference be the Brakeout of the two?

Gotta admit comps are awfully loud I have a JP with a Benny Cooley comp and its makes quite the blast

I'm currently using an AAC 51-tooth M4-2000 brake on my BCM 3gun rifle.

I've done a few mods to it to make it shoot with less climb and less bounce to the right. Now shooting 10"x12" steel at 200yds standing with my scope on 4x just makes the reticle bounce around a little bit.

Great looking stick as always pal....and super neat touch w. hand done mods on the fast attach brake. Its takes a pair to drill on a $150 part;)

To the op.....You have 3 offering from AAC,

1. Blackout.......Reduces almost all muzzle flash and it's the industries most effective f/h. Has zero compensating ability and to some it makes an annoying tuning fork sound or "ping" when using it...not in my case however.

2. Brakeout.......Really nice compromise b/t the industries best flash suppressor and a solid performing brake. This is much like the FSC556 but is still gonna put off that concussing crack and loud report that you typical would associate w. a brake or the FSC556. Prob. not a worry unless you are shooting a bunch inside or under a covered area/near a wall.

3. Fast attach Brake....Highly efficient brake with no flash suppression capabilities however it reduced almost all climb when sustaining fire and reduces recoil. This lil dude is however loud as hell and esp. compared to the above two mentioned.

So it basically depends on what you are wanting out of this muzzle device...like they say, mission drives the gear and the above 3 devices are quite diff. and each have their strengths and weaknesses.

in my limited experience - blackout for very good flash suppression. it definitely has the 'ping/ring' every time the gun is fired.

breakout for pretty good brake performance - i don't notice much different between it and my FSC556. however, it's a flash enhancer in my experience, and a no-go for any night time shooting.

It really is up to you. The blackout is an awesome flash hider, but it won't offer any additional control over recoil. The brakeout provides very good recoil control, but offers very little in terms of flash suppression. There is no issue with flash in daylight, but it will be noticeably brighter than a flash hider in low light / no light. The brakeout will have more concussion, but not as bad as the brake. If you are running an M42000, you could just run the suppressor at night and you won't have to deal with flash any way. You really have to consider what will work best for you and how you intend to use the rifle.
