Ok I finished it up some and was able to take better pics with my camera instead of my cell phone. The RDS on it now should soon be replaced with a Aimpoint H1. If you have any suggestions on how I may improve this rifle please feel free to chime in.

I'll say it before anyone else does. Go out and shoot it, get some training, go to a school and then you will have a better idea of what you need vs. what you want.

Your setup looks fine, you are already going to improve your optic, perhaps down the road you could invest in a better light but all in all you seem to have a solid carbine going.

Shoot the shit out of that rifle and enjoy it. That is the only way to actually find out what you like and don't like about that rifle.

Great job on picking an awesome rifle I hope it brings you many years of enjoyment. The BCM 14.5 middy is definitely my next rifle.

Nice carbine. In addition to the optic; you may consider obtaining a side sling adapter and a BlueForce Gear VCAS 2 point sling.

Cheers

My wife is reading this over my shoulder and asking me how much this thread is going to cost us.

Have you fired it yet? Honestly, how many rounds? What did it do, or not do, that you think needs improvement or changed? Only through experience, can you decide on a setup that works for you. It doesn't matter what we think.

Looks like you have enough to do most anything with it. I would shoot it for a bit and then ask yourself what the gun doesnt do for you that you wish it could.

I second the idea of a side sling adapter.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I have not got a chance to shoot it yet. I just put it together a couple of days ago. I am going to put it through it's paces this weekend.

I agree take it out and shoot. Looks like a good rifle. The GI sling will work. I like the Blue Force Vickers too. It depends what your using it for. Congratulations.

The main thing I'd do is upgrade the sling to a VCAS or similar and attach it to the side of the rail.

As others have said, just go out and shoot and enjoy. Then you'll know better what works and what doesn't. Beyond that I'd say you might want to look at mounting a light and call it done. Personally I went with a Surefire G2L in the Vltor mount

ETA: DOH! Just looked back at the pictures closer and the light on the side rail had escaped me. My bad:o

Don't feel bad it is well concealed. I was goin to suggest one too but it is there in stealth mode.

How does the rifle balance with the MOE?

Did BCM hit a home run with the 14.5 middies or what!

Congrats on a nice rifle, man.

How does the rifle balance with the MOE?

It balances perfectly as far as Im concerned. Much better than my 16" middy upper.
