Are all Noveske SS Barrels chrome-lined?

I don't think any stainless steel barrels are chrome lined.

Just the "Lite" series are CL. The SS barrels are not, and Im actually not aware of any CL SS barrels at all.

Noveske had a very limited run of chrome lined SS barrels several years ago but the cost to produce them was too high for the demand and they got the axe.

Are you talking about the 17-4 barrels or something else?

Those barrels were $1000 a copy.

I'm aware of the 17-4 barrels, but this is the first time I've heard any reference to them possibly being chrome-lined. Not sure what the point of that would even be, given the inherent corrision resistance and extreme hardness of that particular steel.

I don't remember if it was 17-4 or not, but Noveske definitely did a run a CL / SS barrels a few years back, maybe 5 years ago. I think the idea was a compromise between the accuracy of the SS barrrels and the durability of CL. This was before the N4 Light barrels were available.

I remember the chrome lined SS barrels as well, it was a run they did. They were not the same as the 17-4 barrels. There used to be pics on the Noveske site but they are not there anymore.

Yeah but Id like an SS barrel that doesnt lose its accuracy in 10k rounds under "moderate" conditions.

20,000 rounds, since you could buy two standard stainless steel barrels for the cost of one Noveske 17-4.

That would be the 'standard' Noveske SS barrels.

Really leaning hard toward an Afghan barrel for my next build.

+1 here as well. I have a Noveske VIS upper with there Afghan barrel and it shoot very very tight groups.

Another VIS-2 with Afghan SS barrel owner. It is my go to rifle. Been absolutely reliable, and is absolutely accurate. The only time I really tried to shoot a group at range was confirming zero at 300 with Hornady 75 gr TAP and put 5 rounds in about 4 inches on the left side of a small paper plate, with a 4x scope.

The only downside is that its a heavier upper than others.

Here too, this one is my favorite and the others are good stuff also. The afgan made it's way to the top of my list.
