I think this deserved it's own thread rather than keeping it in the 1911 pic thread.

So my question is, do adjustable sights hold up well to hard use? USP Tactical Sights (LPA) or Bomar types on 1911's. I had some LPA's on a P226 and I didn't care for them much. One of my USPs has a Mepro adjustable sights on it.

I'm just wondering what's everyone's experience.

Thanks.

My les baer had a set of adjustable Bomar's on it and after some long days of working on the gun my hand became cut up along with my pants and sometimes holster..that set never broke but a few other shooters from my club have gone through quite a few sets.

I would like to try the new Tripp adjustable sight though

I've always had very good experiences with Dawson Precision sights adjustable or fixed.

Adjustables seem to have served American law enforcement very well for a few decades when wheelies were dominant.

I've never owned a set, but the MMC set up always struck me as a durable way to go.
