I've got a Redhawk sitting in the case (wife bought it for my B-day) that I haven't even fired yet.

Wonder how old that gun is.

I did hear of the grease problem causing the barrel to be over torqued/stressed during assembly. They'd always fly off at the frame, leaving everything else intact.

I haven't shot mine either. $40+ bucks for a box of ammo? Pftt!

I hunt with a Super Blackhawk Bisley hunter and luckily have never had a problem. I've put about 1000 or so rounds down range it's always been a very accurate weapon. I mounted a Leupold Vari-x III 4 power handgun scope on it and have had to send the scope back because the recoil knocked the crosshairs out of whack.
