Anyone use this type? - which I assume would work with the stock in the collapsed position:

BCM out of them, so I assume it is decent. It would provide storage and a better cheek weld ala Magpul.

Thanks.

I'd advise AGAINST ordering from BOTACH........unless you like waiting a long time for your order;)

I dont know anything about botach but why dont you bite the bullet and get a modstock from Vltor, from the looks of the it would be very similar to what you want and the storage compartments are built in the stock. just a suggestion

Thanks!

They ARE $60 shipped. Doesn't appear to have the rubber butt pad, which is standard on Magpul, but it does have the storage.

ANy advantage to the clubfoot???

Problem is I might go MOE on grip and forend...

The only advantage to the clubfoot design is it gives you a little more stock if you happen to shoot high on the shoulder, and dont worry the Vltor stock looks great with the MOE furniture, it looks good with all stuff actually

The Vltor modstock is indeed excellent, a bit shorter than your CTRs and MOEs albeit with a superior cheekweld. BravoCo also has them on clearance.

From the title, I though this was going to be some investment advice.

Vltor make a rubber butt pad for that stock:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24930/Product/RUBBER_SLIPOVER_BUTTPAD

I get dealer pricing from Brownells so, I got them at a discount but, I saw some on sale a few weeks ago but I don't remember where.

Actually, I think any M4 rubber butt pad may fit.

Below is my Colt 6721 with the Vltor modstock and Vltor rubber pad.

It adds extra length and sticks to your shoulder like glue.

You can't do better than that for only about $70.

Yes - I would like something LONGER than the standard M4 buttstock.

Buy an EMOD or ACS. The other option would be squaring up to your target if you can't find carbine stocks that are long enough for the way you shoot.
