I installed a DPMS rounded hammer to use with my .22 Conversion Kit (CMMG)
With the safety selector activated I can pull the trigger roughly 2/32" before the safety selector stops the movement. Marking the trigger and checking total travel it only takes 1/32" more before the hammer falls. With the original hammer there is practically no trigger movement when the safety is engaged.
This is with a Bushmaster FCG. I checked this with an RRA FCG and the hammer causes the same excess movement.
