I wanted to try shooting some 100 yard 5 shot groups with my Saiga. I could have done a bit better with a magnified optic I am sure since I have astigmatism that makes the Aimpoints 2 moa dot look like a diagonal foot ball.
I also added magpul rail covers to my AK after a recent shooting session had my hand guard too hot to hold. The plastic rail covers worked much better than the rubber ladder covers I had before. The reason for green and black was these were left over covers from various AR projects and I did not have enough black left to finish the gun. Anyway to make a long story short. My gun averaged 4.5 moa over a sand bag at 100 yards for 5 shot groups.
Here are the pics.

I was also practicing with my 22 AR for the Ruger steel challenge shoot. I put 5 paper plates down range from 7 to 15 yards and shot 1 round at each target. I shot my 22 lr spikes AR, my Colt AR in 5.56, my saiga, and my Benelli M4 with slugs (with a red dot). My best times with the 22lr AR and with the Colt were 3.5 to 4 seconds. My best time with the AK was 4.5 to 5 seconds. My times with the Benelli averaged about 5.5 seconds. I only shot two runs with the Benelli because slugs are expensive.
