He didn't like what he saw and blamed everyone but the "victim". The fact that he sees his rapist friend as a victim tells you everything you need to know about how he thinks. It's always someone elses fault.

Having grown up and served during the Cold War, the fact he's a communist is enough to make him absolutely irrelevant to me.
