Dummy cording the caps this way avoids drilling "into" the tube and sacrificing its water resistance.
Materials:
2mm perlon cord (thin paracord)
Small drills bits; 3/32" 7/64" (+/-) something in that range.
You want to drill the paddles on the vltor caps. Use the smallest drill bit that still allows you to thread the cord through the hole. Be sure to pick the area in the paddle that has the most material around your hole. You don’t want to weaken it with an unnecessarily large hole.
The cord should be kept as short as possible while still allowing the cap to be removed (trial and error applies here)
