Larue M-16 or BCM bolt carrier group?

Upgrading my Rock River...torn between the two. Which would you choose?

Also, since the LaRue M-16 is a bit heavier (than my current AR-15 carrier), would I have to change anything else to avoid cycling issues...H-buffer maybe?

No it should be fine with the same buffer.



BCM is a better BCG. As far as I know the LaRue is not fully tested like the BCM is. LaRue bills it as "Texas spec" whatever that is. Its not up to the same par as a BCM unit. In fact I replaced the bolt in my LaRue carrier with a BCM bolt, and keep the LaRue as a spare.

Unless LaRue is doing HP/ MPI I would stick with a BCM.
