10-8 just released two other heights to go with their standard .215 front sight height; .235 and .250.

It says the .215 will be 0-2" high at 25 yards, meaning the .235 and .250 would bring the POA/POI lower? If so, how much would one guess?

Thank you in advance.

I have a Glock 17 that took a .250 front sight to lower the POA/POI to the middle of an 8" bullseye at 25 yards with a 6 o'clock hold. I have a Glock 19 that took a .235 to do the same.

I purchased Kyle Defoor's Glock sights from Ameriglo and they are POI/POA at 25 yards.

My advice would be to buy the Defoor sights and spend your time shooting...

Dbake, you will see about 1" of elevation change for every .007" of front sight height difference at 25 yards.

So your saying the .250 sight will make a a POA/POI at 20 yards compared to the .215 at 25 yards.

It's really weapon dependant. Not all Glocks shoot to the same point of impact. Most shoot about 2" high at 25 yards with a .215 front and a 10-8 or Heinie rear (pretty much the standard rear sight height for years). Some guns shoot a bit higher, some are closer to poa/poi.

A .235 should bring the point of impact down approximately 2.8" at 25 yards as compared to a .215. You really need to know where our gun is grouping to make the correct choice.

My preference is for my pistols to shoot about 1 1/2" high at 25 yards, so the normal 2" high poi over poa is fine by me. The different front sight heights allow for user preference for the guys who want closer poa/poi or for the guns that shoot higher then the norm.

PS: These are not "new" front sight heights. Hilton has had them for a bit. They have just been reintroduced with tritium.
