I just ordered a custom LH holster for a Glock 19 W Streamlight TLR-1 weapon light from Dale Fricke http://dalefrickeholsters.com/ For all who does not know Dale's work, he does custom kydex holsters. I talked to Dale today and he told me that it will be at my doorstep by mid next week. That is amazing, considering that it is a custom job. I made an order for the Raven concealment and it is a whopping 13 weeks wait:suicide2: I am now going to cancel that order. My question is, has anyone had experience with Dale's holsters in comparison to the raven concealment phantom holster. Cant wait. Thanks in advance.

Dale Fricke's holsters are among the best I have ever used.

Throw some pictures up of the new rig!!! I have used a lot of Dale's stuff. It has always surpassed expectations of toughness and utility.

Plus we share a first name, so of course he's good:p

Dale's work is second to none and if you by chance have any problems with it, he will take care of it ASAP.
I don't know if you ordered an OWB or IWB from Dale so I can't compare it to a Phantom. You will not regret getting a custom holster from Dale and you can't beat the time to delivery and customer service from a great man.

I agree, Dale is a great guy. For the brief time we spoke, he was very accommodating to my needs. It is great that he is doing this custom holster for me, because I have heard great things about his work. This will be an OWB rig. The minute I get it I will throw pics up.

I haven't used one of his holsters yet but my EDC mag pouch is a horizontal one from him. I love it. I have them for by G19 and 1911. I rarely use vertical pouches outside of range/class work any more.

Dale did a custom one for me that integrates a small fixed blade carried RGEI. Excellent work and a good guy.

What makes a fickle better than a proven Blade Tech IWB

Better yet, why would anyone go with anything other than a holster from Custom Concepts?

There are many great holster makers. Not all offer the designs/pistol models/options needed for a particular buyer. Sometimes you just can't wait 6 months for a holster. I don't mean that as being impatient either. Sometimes you have a legitimate need for a holster in a hurry and explore other available options.

I know your question was rhetorical. I answered it anyway just for fun. I wasn't trying to be a smart@$$.

Because holsters, like sights, are a very personal selection for a shooter. What works for me and my needs will not work for everyone else. I have much different needs than say a Dr. or teacher. You have to try different options to find your best fit.

I personally like both the CC and RCS holsters but I'm always looking for improvement. That's enough of a hijack from me.

I personally don't own any of Dale's holsters but someone I really respect does and swears by them. I'm pretty heavily invested in the RCS gear for most of my work due to it being the best option for me out there for carrying a WML. I'm definitely going to try one of these next though.

The Fricke holsters are among the best engineered and built holsters I have found for CCW/off-duty use; I also like my CCC, RCS, Peters, Alessi, Sparks, and Kramer holsters. Each holster has its benefits and niche.

Well folks here it is. I still cant believe that I ordered this holster on thursday and it just arrived in the mail today, this is amazing. This holster is in tan with an FBI cant. The holster is dehorned and there is no edges; It is very comfortable. There is two screws that can be adjusted for tightness. The kydex is not too thick, but it is very strong. The fit is excellent and it has a nice click to it. It is nice and concealable with my vest, which I wear almost daily. Well I am very pleased at the service, care and craftsmanship of this piece of gear. Well enjoy, I will update on use later.http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo4.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo3.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo1.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo1-1.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo2-1.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo3-1.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo4-1.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo4-2.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo3-2.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo1-2.jpghttp://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu149/kyrin88/photo2-2.jpg

Looks good, may have to order one to test it out vs my Raven and NTACs. Any video capability on the holstering/reholstering?

Right on, thanks for sharing. I'd like to see a pic or two of the Fricke AIWB holster(s) if anyone is using one.

In the last picture it appears as though the butt of the gun is sticking out. Is that true and if so, is that normal?

Its an AIWB. If worn properly it should not stick out at all.

The butt does not normally stick out like that, it is usually very flat.

There are a couple of factors going on here:
1) That belt I’m wear is old and worn, while it works fine for strong side carry it leaves much to be desired for AWIB.
2) The belt loops I had on the holster were set up for a wider belt so there is a little flop here.
3) I was in a hurry to snap these shots (my “photographer” was on her way out the door) and didn’t feel like changing my load out (I’m also wear a left handed IWB in those photos as well) or the belt loops. Sorry.
4) All in combination with my spare tire is no doubt causing the butt to hang out a bit.

The Archangel is very concealable and well constructed; I highly recommend it.
