Anyone have any experience with JP Enterprises optic mount. It looks pretty solid with its 5 mounting screws. How does it compare with saw the Larue SPR 1.5 mount? thanks

I have both and they work fine.

It really depends on whether you need a quick release or not. However, LaRue is now offering the VZV attachment for some of their scope mounts, which are not quick release.

I have a Leupy 4.5-14X50 in my JP Mount and I mount it on my various rifles when I want to conduct accuracy testing with various loads and then it comes off.

I have a Meopta K Dot in my LaRue mount on my 3 gun AR and it really never comes off.

The LaRue VZV and the JP mounts are almost the exact same price, but for only about $25 more you can get the LaRue quick release, which I really like and it holds zero well enough for 3 Gun competition for me.

Both are great companies and great products and you can't go wrong with either.

Thanks for the info. I have done some price comparisons and I found the JP mount to be app. $70.00 cheaper. As for the quick release I like to keep my optics in place after initial zero. My main concern is the quality of the mount since I have not personally had hands on this mount.

it's a very clean mount
I have had a few, it's my favorite non QR mount by far
it's very stout, stiff and light

Not trying to bust the thread but...

The Nightforce Unimount would be another option.

What handguard did you use on that one?

it was a DPMS carbon tube
I drilled holes in it and sprayed with textured bed liner
was ultra slick...
