I can't afford to shoot Federal Gold Medal .308 Winchester 168 Grain BTHP Rifle Ammunition every day.

I have a bunch of Australian and South African 7.62x51 that I shoot regularly through my DS Arms FAL.

Would it be wise to try this ammo in my 700SPS or would headspacing concern you?

Thanks.

Having shot a lot of surplus through mine (though M118 surplus) I wouldn't be bothered by headspacing at all.

You will however see significantly degraded accuracy then you might expect from the Federal match, especially in the lighter grainage, at longer ranges (>500yards).
